17/1126

In the early years, this symbol appeared on the Basic Brochures, with the purpose of illustrating what was called "United Effort" of "RADIO STATIONS," "MISSIONARY EFFORT" and "HOMEFRONT COOPERATION." The symbol is reminiscent of the 300 foot tower at Manila, although that tower would not be purchased for another four years. "Jesus Saves" signs in neon were common in the U.S. in the 1930's and '40's on church buildings.
