It is quite common for a photograph of the recipients to be taken whenever a PM-radio is placed. Very often the person receiving the radio is a believer who wants his family or whole barrio to hear the gospel. In 1950, only 5 years after war's end hardly any people living outside major cities have electricity, much less radios. Portable radios are unheard of. FEBC's idea of a portable radio was ingenious, its radios were in great demand, and thousands of people heard the gospel and believed.
