Dick and Jane Handlos with their daughter Pat sailed for Manila in February of 1948 (arriving in March) on the Indian Bear freighter of the Pacific Far East Line, along with the transmitter and other technical equipment for the operation of the new radio stations (other FEBC personnel were also on board).
