"Gospel and Song" was a Christian radio program produced at the Calvary Assembly Church in Inglewoood, California. As can be noted in the text, the program had started in 1933-34, under the leadership of Robert Bowman, and William J. Roberts, pastor of the church. Both of these men, were, of course two of the three original members of the FEBC Founding Executive Committee. It was from this radio effort and the Haven of Rest radio program [See #63] that Dr. Bowman had gathered his radio experience and his belief in its power to reach people. It was also the principle means by which people across America learned about the new radio venture called Far East Broadcasting Company. (Note: Ralph Carmichael, the well-known composer/conductor eventually took over the musical responsibilities for this program.
