This photo was taken by a person named "Jesse" visiting FEBC in the very early 1950's He was apparently impressed by the flags of the U.S. and Philippines flying side by side at CRCM, Manila. FEBC's initial effort was largely American, even though the intent was from the beginning to make the operations ultimately indigenous. The Philippines was part of the American Commonwealth from 1898 to 1946. FEBC began its work in the Philippines in 1947. In the background is the directional short wave antenna for the regional Philippines.
