Victory Service Club, L.A.
In 1942, the Union Rescue Mission of Los Angeles established a Canteen called "The Victory Service Club," located on S. Main Street. It was here that Robert Bowman assisted in services for the benefit of WW2 off-duty military personnel, and interacted with other Christian leaders, prior to the founding of FEBC. At the time, "Bob" Bowman was a well-known singer on the Haven of Rest radio broadcast. The image is the face of a post card that was made available to soldiers and sailors to write home.
