Max Atienza (r.), interviews Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo. Aguinaldo (1869–1964) was instrumental in the rebellion against Spanish rule, and also against American rule. An accompanying note to the photos reads: "Max Atienza makes an exclusive interview with General Emilio Aguinaldo at the latter’s historic residence in Kawit, Cavite, June 12, 1957. President of the First Philippines Republic established in Malolos, Bulacan in 1898, Aguinaldo is still active in public life despite his 88 years." The envelope containing this photo (#1720) also contains two more prints and their negatives.
