Okuma, Okinawa. The US Army helped move heavy equipment for the KSBU transmitter installation from the docks at Naha to the beach at Okuma. Some of the equipment weighed 25 tons and the truck needed for transport could never have negotiated the narrow roads leading to Okuma. The Army was appreciative of the ministry of local station KSAB.
