A 300 KVA diesel generator was needed to power the KSBU 100,000 watt transmitter installed at Okuma, Okinawa. The Chicago Pneumatic unit, shown here at the location from which it was purchased, was bought by FEBC for $15,534 around the beginning of 1960. The unit weighed 25 tons.
